Want your kids to learn how to look after their bikes? Or need a way to keep them nice and busy over the summer holidays? Then why not check out our free kids’ bike workshops, taking place on the 19th and 26th of August!
It’s always nice seeing the kids get outside over the summer, enjoying the weather and getting active. Teaching your kids how to look after their own bikes lets them be much more independent, as well as saving you a chore and potentially some repair bills!
That’s where we come in…
Over the summer, we’ve been offering free bike workshops for kids in our stores! So far, 5000 parents and children have come along to learn about bike maintenance, and there are still 2 workshops left in England and Wales this month – on Wednesday 19th and 26th of August!
These free workshops are a fantastic way for kids to learn important skills like fixing punctures, re-attaching a chain, and adjusting handle bars and saddle height. There are plenty of interactive activities, as well as demonstrations to make sure everyone gets a chance to learn hands-on. There’s also a drawing competition, with a chance to win a bike worth up to £250!
What you said
Parents and kids alike have really been loving our workshops so far. Here’s what some of the mums and dads who have been to workshops this year had to say…
“Excellent workshop. Both my children really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. They came home and wanted to practise and had a good understanding of why you need to look after your bike. The staff were very friendly”.
“It was a fun way to learn about how to check your bike for my son and also how to fix a puncture. I even learnt a few things to. And the goody bag was just a lovely touch. Thank you so much.”
