You might remember us talking about our up-and-coming School Bike Workshops a little while ago. Well, they’re all done for this year – and they’ve been a huge success!

Halfords School bike workshops at Erdington Abbey Primary SchoolOver 5000 school children took part, learning about bike maintenance as well as safe riding and confidence on their bikes. Our store teams visited local schools and gave demonstrations and lessons to the kids, who then got the chance to put their newly-learnt skills into practice by getting hands on!

Here’s what some of the teachers said from schools across the UK:

“A big thank you! The children loved it. This workshop helps us as a school towards our school travel plan as well as preparing the children for the next step to secondary school”
– Aylesbury

“The workshop was well organised, the children enjoyed it and the staff were knowledgeable”
– Bletchley

“Ciaran and Stuart were excellent presenters, spoke well and were very informative regarding bike care, safety and maintenance. They did a superb job and the children really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thanks very much!”
– Wexford

Don’t worry if you’ve missed out on our School Bike Workshops this time. Next up, we’ll be holding free kids bike workshops in our Halfords stores. These will take place every Wednesday in July in Ireland and Scotland, and every Wednesday in August in England and Wales.
